Iain Frengley and Lani Evans are two New Zealand film makers with a passion for telling simple stories of people who want to make a difference. They were both involved in the 2011 ReGeneration Roadtrip, a collaborative project involving ten young leaders on a fifteen week learning journey around New Zealand. On the way they meet with young people, community groups, local leaders, students of all ages, local organisers and active citizens.
In each region Iain and Lani interviewed people who were doing interesting and innovative work and the result is a collection of over sixty short films profiling New Zealand Changemakers. The films are featured on our homepage and on our Vimeo channel for you to enjoy and share with others free of charge.
The people in the Changemaker films are not trying to explain the “what” in what they do but rather they seek to create a space for people to talk about the “why” behind their motivation for doing what they do. So while each film is only a minute and a half in duration we hope that you find them spacious to watch and listen to and that they give you an insight into the deeper sense of purpose that each of these people brings to their life and work
The intention is that the films are a both a resource of inspiration and ideas but also a way of seeing some of the emerging patterns in the practice of making positive change.
We hope you enjoy the Changemakes Film Project.
